The Pinnacles

Decision first: do not try both Beowa sections in one day. If the plan is “Pinnacles this morning, Boyds Tower after lunch,” the day is already a Princes Highway product, not a park visit.
Twofold Bay and Eden sit between Pambula-Haycock and Green Cape. Official visitor info treats them as two areas. Vehicle entry is free north of Eden and $8 per vehicle per day south of Eden [VERIFY]. Camping is a third system. None of that is a Blue Mountains lookout hop or a Promontory vehicle quota.
Plan B that still counts: one section, one hero walk, home or camp without crossing Eden twice. Partial days after an honest choice are competence. Heroic both-sides itineraries are how people arrive at Haycock–Barmouth at 3pm or start Light to Light with a day pack.

The decision before you leave town
Say it out loud: we are doing Green Cape or Pambula-Haycock, not Beowa-as-a-loop. If anyone needs both colour cliffs and Boyds Tower, that is two mornings.
Success metric: you executed one section and still had daylight. Crossing Eden to “get the other postcard” is how the second carpark is full and the group is snappy.
Why the clock fails (it is not “bad traffic”)
Official access is two road systems. North: Princes Highway then Haycock Road or Pambula Beach Road. South: past Eden, Edrom Road, then Green Cape or Boyds Tower Road. Official pages even disagree on Green Cape kilometres — follow signs, do not invent a through-park shortcut.
A Sydney or Melbourne day-trip is typically a 6–7 hour planning range each way before gravel. Stacking both sections on top of that is a windscreen, not a walk.

Can we “just swing past” the other section on the way home?
You can physically drive it. You should not call it a first-visit park day. Two gravel approaches, two pay rules, and Eden in the middle. Pick one hero.
What if we only have one calendar day?
Boyds Tower from Eden, or The Pinnacles from Pambula/Merimbula. Not Light to Light. Not both.
Does paying the $8 cover The Pinnacles?
No. The $8 is Green Cape / south of Eden. The Pinnacles are free-entry north. Paying south does not unlock north, and north does not need the south machine.
Is night shooting a reason to skip the north entirely?
Only if you cannot finish before dusk. Named sites are open 6am–6pm in the current window. Picnic at Haycock still counts.
