These plans are for real trips on the Sapphire Coast: two sections split by Twofold Bay, fee split, creek wades and how much walking a group can actually do. Every itinerary defers to NSW National Parks for track status and alerts. Hard walks only appear where the plan names them — and only when official status is open.

Full day in one section only

One section per day: Boyds Tower or The Pinnacles

Best for: First visit when you want one section, not both

Pick one section. Southern: Boyds Tower (and maybe Green Cape lookout if time remains). Northern: The Pinnacles plus an optional Haycock picnic. Don’t try both just because they’re the same park.

Half day from Eden

Family short: Boyds Tower accessible

Best for: Kids, prams / wheelchairs on the boardwalk, first look at Twofold Bay

Boyds Tower only. Grade 1 accessible boardwalk, toilets, seating. Pay the southern vehicle fee. Picnic at the carpark. Do not add Light to Light or The Pinnacles.

Full day in Green Cape — or split north to a second morning

Whale season: two lookouts, one paid section

Best for: September–early December southward peak (broader Apr–Nov often cited)

Boyds Tower and Green Cape lookout are the southern whale platforms. The Pinnacles are a different section and a different fee. If you want both south lookouts plus the north, you need two days.

2–3 days / 2 nights

Light to Light: 2–3 days

Best for: Fit walkers with booked platforms and a car plan

32 km one-way, Grade 4, Boyds Tower to Green Cape. Official days: 9 km / 10 km / 13 km. Book platforms, treat tank water, carry ≥5 L, plan the shuffle, file a trip intention.
