Things to do in Beowa National Park
Last reviewed · verify live conditions with NSW National Parks
Most first visits revolve around Boyds Tower or The Pinnacles. The 32 km Light to Light Walk is a different trip. Twofold Bay splits the park into two sections — don’t try to see every highlight on a first visit.
Some stay, tour and gear links may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Park fees, official NSW National Parks camping bookings and fishing licences are never affiliated.

Day one rule
Pick one section and one main outing (usually Boyds Tower or The Pinnacles). Don’t try both sides of Twofold Bay on a first visit.
Weather / energy bail-out
A lookout or a town picnic is the better call if surge is up on the Green Cape loop. If a creek is not safe to wade, wait or turn back.
Overnight filter
Light to Light needs booked platforms and treated tank water. If the group has not done that before, stay on Boyds Tower.

Boyds Tower walking track
Best first walk · Grade 1 · accessible
The classic first-visit walk: official 0.8 km return, Grade 1, accessible boardwalk, toilets and seating. Twofold Bay views without Light to Light logistics.

Whale watching
Sep–early Dec peak · binoculars · lookouts
Peak southward September–early December from Boyds Tower and Green Cape lookout. Broader April–November often cited. Binoculars; stay on platforms. Optional Eden boat products are commercial, not park tours.

Beaches & swimming
Unpatrolled · rips · summer
