Start with one walk
Boyds Tower is the straightforward first walk. Light to Light is two or three days with booked platforms — better as its own trip than something you add after lunch from Eden.

Light to Light (32 km)
hardThe park’s flagship: 32 km one-way from Boyds Tower to Green Cape Lightstation / lookout. Grade 4. Two nights on booked platforms. Tide creek wades, limited reception, and a genuine logistics problem — not a long day-trip from Eden.

The Pinnacles
moderateWhite sand cliffs with a red clay cap in the free-entry northern section. 1.1 km loop, Grade 3, 20–40 minutes. Views to Lennards Island and Haycock Point. Stay on the track — do not climb the formations.

When to go
Whales
Peak southward Sep–early Dec from Boyds Tower and Green Cape lookout.
Summer
Beaches and heat. Fire risk. Camps book out.
Autumn / winter
Lyrebirds at Bittangabee. Best multi-day walking. Banksias.
Spring
Whales plus wildflowers. Crowds at the two southern lookouts.

Full day in one section only
One section per day: Boyds Tower or The Pinnacles
Pick one section. Southern: Boyds Tower (and maybe Green Cape lookout if time remains). Northern: The Pinnacles plus an optional Haycock picnic. Don’t try both just because they’re the same park.
Half day from Eden
Family short: Boyds Tower accessible
Boyds Tower only. Grade 1 accessible boardwalk, toilets, seating. Pay the southern vehicle fee. Picnic at the carpark. Do not add Light to Light or The Pinnacles.
2–3 days / 2 nights
Light to Light: 2–3 days
32 km one-way, Grade 4, Boyds Tower to Green Cape. Official days: 9 km / 10 km / 13 km. Book platforms, treat tank water, carry ≥5 L, plan the shuffle, file a trip intention.

Is there a day pass for Beowa National Park?
Two systems, never merged. Official visitor info (checked 16 Aug 2026): $8 per vehicle per day SOUTH of Eden (Green Cape). NORTH of Eden (Pambula-Haycock) is free vehicle entry. Pedestrians and cyclists are free. Annual passes do not cover camping. [VERIFY] live dollars and pay-machine locations.
Is camping included in the vehicle fee?
No. Camping is a separate official NPWS RezExpert booking. Vehicle entry is still required if you drive into the Green Cape section. Book only on nationalparks.nsw.gov.au.
Where do I start the Light to Light Walk?
Official start is Boyds Tower. Finish is Green Cape Lightstation / lookout. 32 km one-way, Grade 4, 2–3 days. Book platforms. Treat tank water. Carry at least 5 L. Trip intention and a PLB are recommended.
Which section should I use?
Two disconnected sections split by Twofold Bay. North of Eden: Pambula-Haycock (Pinnacles, river, beaches) — free entry. South of Eden: Green Cape (Boyds Tower, Light to Light, lighthouse, camps) — $8 / vehicle / day. No park road between them. A Sydney or Melbourne “both sections plus Light to Light” day-trip is a failure, not a plan.
